GIMA Leaders Get Festive at Polhill Garden Centre

At the GIMA Charity Golf day held in June, the spotlight shone on charity fundraising as the evening was dedicated to the spirited Raffle and Auction, all in support of the Greenfingers Charity.

Among the treasures auctioned off, a standout Lot featured the esteemed “Leading Ladies” of GIMA. Vicky Nuttall, the GIMA Director, Jenny Douthwaite, GIMA President, and Kate Ebbens, Vice President, offered themselves as volunteers to work for the highest bidder in any capacity they chose.

The winning bidder, Polhill Garden Centre, stepped forward to claim their prize, and earlier this month, they cashed in on the opportunity. The trio of GIMA leaders found themselves immersed in the heart of Polhill Garden Centre, embarking on an extraordinary day of teamwork and creativity.

Under the expert guidance of Dan at Polhill, the GIMA leaders embarked on a masterclass in Christmas tree decorating. Adhering to the rule of three as their guiding principle, they transformed ordinary trees into stunning works of art. But the ultimate challenge awaited them – crafting a Christmas tree worthy of Polhill’s renowned standards.

Vicky Nuttall expressed her gratitude, saying, “I must extend my heartfelt thanks to Polhill for their boundless generosity during our Charity Golf day and for welcoming us to their Garden Centre last week. This was a unique and transformative day at the office for us. With Dan’s fantastic guidance, we believe we created something the Polhill team can be proud of. More importantly, it was a day filled with camaraderie, creativity, and all in support of a fantastic charity.”

The grand total raised will be unveiled at the prestigious GIMA Awards ceremony, scheduled for October 19th this year.
