GIMA AGM 2026: New President announced as association continues to go from strength to strength

The 2026 GIMA Annual General Meeting, held on 26th March, marked a significant moment for the association, with a new President appointed, changes to the governing Council, and continued positive momentum highlighted across the organisation.

Stepping into the role of GIMA President is Craig Hall of Deco-Pak, supported by Nigel Thompson of Sipcam Home & Garden as Vice-President. Craig takes over from Kate Ebbens of Woodlodge, who was warmly thanked for her leadership and commitment during her tenure.

Reflecting on his appointment, Craig Hall said: “It’s a real honour to take on the role of GIMA President. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Kate for her dedication and the fantastic work she has done over the past two years. I’m looking forward to building on that strong foundation, working closely with the Council and wider membership to ensure GIMA continues to deliver real value and opportunity for our industry.

The AGM saw new additions to the Council include Victoria Osborne (LV Bespoke) and Hannah Shoesmith (APAC), building on the breadth of expertise and representation across the membership.

The meeting also saw several Council members re-elected, including Kate Ebbens (Woodlodge), Chris Ramsden (Hozelock), David Nicholson (Elho) and Ed Cantle (GARDENA), ensuring continuity and experience remain at the heart of the association.

The association also said a fond farewell to two longstanding Council members – Jenny Douthwaite (Primeur) and Simon Davison (Zest Outdoor Living).

As part of the AGM proceedings, the association’s financial report was presented, highlighting continued membership growth and confirming that GIMA remains in a strong and stable position. Ongoing investment in member services, events and initiatives continues to underpin the association’s success, ensuring it remains a vital and relevant voice for the garden industry.
