GIMA Charity Golf & Activity Day 2017

Suppliers and retailers from the garden retail industry came together for a day of fun, team building and networking at the Telford Hotel & Golf Resort on the 8th June, raising funds for Greenfingers and St. Richard's Hospice.

The 2017 event marked the first time that Kwik Cricket and the Laser Shooting Challenge were added to the mix, opening the event up for more industry colleagues to get out and enjoy Summer activities.

On the golf course, the biggest prize on the day was over the 18 holes.  In a fiercely fought competition Grange Fencing won again, retaining the winners title from 2016, Smart Garden's A-team came a close second with Mr Forthergills in third position.

The competition was equally fierce over on the Kwik Cricket and Laser Clay Shooting pitches in Lilleshall.  The first time these events have been added to the roster, talent for both the cricket and laser shooting were quickly discovered by the participants.  Like the golf, these events also included a sense of friendly competition with Andrew Peers winning the shooting challenge, and a team made of colleagues from Cadix, Kelkay, Bathgate and Petquip winning the over all challenge.
